Plastic Free Packaging is Here!

We don’t need to tell you that single use plastic is bad, you already know this. You have read the news stories and seen the pictures of beautiful beaches covered in plastic waste.

Supermarkets and retailers have been scrambling to meet the demands and expectations consumers have with respect to the use of plastic packaging. Business and industry however have generally been slower to react.

At Meluba Badges we believe that reducing our impact on the environment is not a choice any more, but a responsibility we have to accept and integrate to our daily lives and decision making.

Starting next week we are introducing plastic free packaging to all of our of Name and Reusable Badges. Say goodbye to self-seal plastic bags, bubble wrap, plastic bubble lined postal bags and even packing tape.

THE SOLUTION

To replace the plastic self seal bags your badges currently arrive in, we will be using badge card carriers, made from 100% recycled card (FSC recycled certified) that you can easily recycle with the rest of your cardboard.

Your Name Badges will be fixed to the card carriers, which fold over to protect the badges before they are put in to either a recycled box or kraft paper padded Jiffy Green envelope. If needed we then use crumpled kraft paper instead of plastic bubble wrap and kraft packing tape instead of the usual packing tape. No plastic in sight!

Over the coming weeks and months we hope to expand this across all of our other product ranges, at no additional cost to you the customer.

We are really excited to roll this out from February, but know it is essential that your badges arrive in perfect condition. If for any reason you are not happy, or have any feedback we would love to hear from you.
